Shipping, Returns, Guarantees & FAQs

Shipping

Shearwater Weaving is located on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada.  All purchases are shipped with tracking and insurance within 2 days of receiving payment.  The declared value on the item cannot be lowered on customs forms as this is illegal.  The buyer is responsible for all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.  If an insurance claim must be filed for a package, Shearwater Weaving will refund the customer once the claim is paid by the shipping company.  Shipping fees are nonrefundable and any fees and shipping costs associated with a return are also the sole responsibility of the customer(unless otherwise agreed upon by Shearwater Weaving and the customer). If an item is abandoned or refused at delivery,  Shearwater Weaving will not offer any refunds to the purchaser.  All items come from a smoke free environment.

Returns

I pride myself on quality and want you to be happy with your item.  However, if you find that you are not happy with your purchase, I will issue you a complete refund. (In the case of semi-customs or an auction win, I do not offer refunds as they are a custom made item).  I must be notified within 3 days of receiving the item and the item must be returned in the same new condition as it was shipped to you.  All packaging must be included. Please send me a message and we will discuss the details before returning.  Returns, refunds and/or repairs will not be accepted without first contacting me about the return.  A small restocking fee may be held on any item that is returned.  Customer is responsible for any and all costs associated with return shipping.

Guarantees

If you find a weaving flaw (a knot or skipped thread) in your item please contact Julie at juliek@shearwaterweaving.ca to discuss the procedure to get it fixed for you.  Product promises and guarantees are non-transferable and are only valid for the original customer as listed on the mailing address.  Shearwater Weaving cannot be held responsible for the condition of the item nor guarantee the safety of the item if the original owner sells or passes that item on to another person.

Do you take custom orders?
At this time I do not accept custom orders.

How and where do you sell your wraps?
I sell all of my available wraps on Shearwater Weaving’s Facebook page as well as in Shearwater Weaving’s Chatter group by random draw to purchase.

How often do you have wraps available?
I try to have 2 pieces available to the public from every warp.
